Privacy policy

What we collect

When you buy a board: your name, email address, shipping address, phone number if you give one, and what you ordered. Online checkout isn't open yet; this describes what will happen once it is.

Payment details: card and PayPal payments are handled by Stripe and PayPal. You enter your payment details with them, not with us, and we never see or store your full card number. They share with us what we need to confirm and fulfill your order, such as your name, email, addresses, the card brand and last four digits, and whether the payment went through.

When you contact us: whatever you choose to include in your message, such as your name, email address and question.

When you browse: like any website, the services that deliver this site receive technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. See "Who we share information with" below.

How we use it

• To make, ship and support your order, including returns, refunds and warranty claims.
• To reply to your messages.
• To prevent fraud and keep the site secure.
• To keep the business and tax records the law requires.

We don't send marketing emails unless you've asked to receive them, and you can stop them at any time.

Who we share information with

We share information only with the services that help us run the shop, and only what each one needs:

• Stripe and PayPal to process payments and prevent fraud.
• Shipping carriers (your name and shipping address) to deliver your order.
• Cloudflare, which hosts and protects this website and provides basic visitor statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics). The statistics count page views without cookies and without tracking you across other sites.
• Pexels, which serves one photo on our home page, so loading that page sends a request to them.
• Our email provider (Zoho Mail), for order emails and messages.
• Authorities, if the law requires it.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for targeted advertising. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of selling and sharing, which we already don't do.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for number years, because tax and accounting rules require it. We keep messages only as long as we need them to help you. After that we delete the information or keep it in a form that no longer identifies you.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Depending on where you live (for example California, Colorado, Virginia and other states with privacy laws), you may have additional rights, including the right to appeal if we decline a request. Email hello@unitedskateenterprises.com to make a request. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we won't treat you differently for using your rights. Some records, like orders, may need to be kept to meet legal obligations even if you ask us to delete them.

Children

This site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, payments are handled by Stripe and PayPal, and we limit who can see order information. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable care to protect your information.

This site doesn't use advertising or analytics cookies. Details are in our cookie policy.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will be made clear on the site.
